Kristi Pennington is a modern portrait photographer located in Frisco, Texas. KPP provides custom, personality-filled senior photos to high school seniors in the north Dallas area and beyond.

Parents
You and your senior have come a long way. You’ve raised your son through
twelve years of school, made it through online learning, had lots of laughs,
and maybe even helped him through some heartbreaks. I bet you couldn’t be
prouder of who your child has become.
This is a momentous time, and I don’t take my responsibility lightly as your
senior portrait photographer.
Whether you’re accustomed to hiring professional photographers or it’s been a
long time, it’s my goal that you receive quality portraits that capture the spirit of
your senior and have a positive experience. After all, the next time your son has
his picture professionally taken might just be his wedding day!
Before the photoshoot, I take the time to get to know your senior so that I can
photograph him true to personality. In addition, I partner with one of the best
print labs to ensure that the printed products I deliver are worthy enough to pass
down as family treasures.
These special portraits are not just for the yearbook, senior ads, or graduation
announcements. They are for you and your family to remember your son at

before we get together, you might like to know that...
- I was born and raised in Dallas and now live in Frisco.
- I married my Texas Tech University college sweetheart, and we have two amazing daughters. My oldest daughter graduated from East Texas A&M University and recently married her high school sweetheart. She coaches both club and high school volleyball. Our youngest daughter graduated last May from Sam Houston State University, and will be starting PTA school in the Fall. We also have two adorable English Cream Golden Retrievers who we are rather obsessed with! Five year old Holly is the "old soul", while three year old Georgia is the sassy one!
- I can be a bit of a night owl sometimes staying awake into the wee hours when I get on a roll with editing or a project! Although that is getting harder as the years pass! But don’t be surprised if you get a late night email from me. Getting up super early? Not so much!
- I’m totally guilty of using WAY too many emoji’s in text messages. I can’t help it! It just makes messages happier!
- I love spending time with family & friends, gardening, music, warm weather, homemade chocolate chip cookies, fashion, a good glass of wine, and any kind of potato- fried, baked, mashed...I don’t care!

I love taking my time with my clients to create a natural, relaxed and FUN senior portrait experience. I find doing so results in natural looking expressions, relaxed poses, and genuine smiles giving you the best photos possible. Yes! It’s true! Even the guys I have the pleasure to photograph admit that senior photos are not that painful!
A few weeks before your shoot begins, we’ll chat about what to wear, tips and tricks for a great shoot, and pick out a location for your photos. I have found that planning is everything for a successful shoot. We will discuss every detail of the portrait process and go over clothing suggestions for your photos. You’ll leave our consultation feeling fully prepared that you will look your best for your photos!
On the day of your photo session, we'll meet at your chosen location. During your shoot, we'll change up your wardrobe so we can capture a variety of looks for your senior portraits that matches your personality and style! Sound like a long day in front of the camera? Nope! You’ll find that I work quickly and efficiently to catch the best photos of you and you’ll be on your way in no time!
About 7-10 days after your session, you'll receive a link to your private online gallery where you will review your images from your session and choose your favorites based on the collection you've chosen. Choose the images you love most - this is your chance to narrow things down and build your final collection. Once your selections are submitted, I'll take care of the finishing touches.
After your final selections are made, I'll complete the finishing touches and prepare your images for delivery. Your final gallery will be delivered online, making it easy to download, share, and enjoy.

We will ease into the session, keeping things relaxed and just focus on creating images that look natural and confident. I do this by directing you into natural movements that appear candid and natural. You will look effortless and confident, without looking like you are trying too hard. I’ll share with you shots from my camera along the way so you can see how everything is coming along and how amazing you are. Trust me! We’ve got this!
I believe that great portraits showcase personality. If you’re full of energy and outgoing, I’ll focus on that during your shoot. If you’re more of the quiet and thoughtful type, I’ll photograph you in a more contemplative way. There shouldn’t be a disconnect between who you are with your friends and family and what is shown in your senior photos. I want to capture the real you! Perhaps you might get more dressed up than normal, but you'll still look like the very best version of you. And if you want to visit a non-traditional spot for your photos like a Taco Bell for a few shots because that’s your thing, we can probably make that happen!

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY
I pride myself on top notch communication during the entire portrait process. You will always know what is going on and what to expect. Email updates, a link to the Client Hub for your Session Information Guide...that’s just the beginning! We will start with a virtual portrait planning meeting where I’ll give you wardrobe advice for your shoot, show you examples of what’s worked well in the past, and help you pick out the perfect location for your portraits. Have a question about clothing or anything regarding your shoot? Text me! I’m always available to answer any questions you may have along the way.
Nobody needs 200 mediocre photos of similar poses. What you want is a collection of high quality photographs that reflect who you are. You want to have a mix of poses and expressions in different locations that fill your final gallery with variety and personality. That’s why during your session we will shoot in a variety of places. I want you to have photos that you still love and are proud to look back on 10 to 30 years from now and are not trendy or dated with the lastest Instagram-like filters.

NATURAL EDITS
TIMELY TURNAROUND
I take my time editing each and every photo selected for your gallery. I enhance colors to give them a nice, natural, pop and remove any blemishes, stray hairs, or slight imperfections that sholdn’t be there such as a bruise or a scratch. I’ll enhance your good looks with a natural looking edit and your final images will look polished, not over processed. Skin will look like skin instead of plastic and over photoshopped.
Check out a sneak peek of your session on Instagram typically within 48 hours of your shoot. About two weeks after your photo session, you will receive a link to view your photo proofs online. And you can now order directly from your photo gallery! And your digital images will be delivered to you immediately after the editing process via electronic download.

Trusting someone to take your senior photos can be difficult. When you book your session with me you can rest easy – I work hard to produce images that are bold, colorful and consistent. Retouching doesn’t have to be a dirty word, but it can be when it’s overdone. It is very important to me that you look like YOU! Your images will be carefully hand-edited and will be given a little pop of color, exposure adjustment, and a few other edits that can only be achieved through professional software and years of training. This is not a one size fits all edit like you get with an iphone app or latest Instagram filter. I treat every image as its own piece of art and each image will be naturally fine-tuned to perfection. All blemishes, stray hairs, and skin imperfections will be taken care of in Photoshop. Skin will look like skin and not over processed.

I want to get to know you BEFORE you step in front of the camera so you feel relaxed and comfortable. So you will receive a short Getting to Know You Questionnaire. Please take just a few minutes to fill it out as much as possible.
I’lm here to help you finalize your wardrobe, we'll select a location for your photos, and I'll answer any questions you may have before picture day.
All of the session planning comes together to create a fun, energetic, and unique portrait session completely customized to you! Be ready to experience a photo session unlike anything you’ve experienced before as we’ll go to the location of your choice while having a blast along the way. We will shoot in a few different spots using different kinds of natural light and poses to give you a variety of looks.

Image Pickup &Order Delivery
After your session I'll get right to work prepping your photos and choosing the absolute best images from your session. As I'm looking through all of the beautiful shots from your shoot, I usually can't help share an image or two on Instagram , so keep your eyes open on the KPP page for your sneak peek within 24-48 hours of your photo day.
About 2 weeks after your session, your images will be ready to be viewed during your online Viewing and Ordering Session. I'll share your images with you via a custom link and you can view and select them from the comfort of your own home. And now you can select and order your favorite products right from your home and then I will design, and customize your portrait art just for you!
This is the best part! Immediately after you place your order, I will process your payment and your order will be on its way. Once your order has arrived, I'll inspect it to make sure it is perfect, wrap it up in KPP packaging, and notify you when it's ready for pickup and for you to enjoy!

A gifting staple for friends and family, portrait art is a wonderful way to share your beautiful images. Grandma will never complain about getting a stunning archive quality print of her all-grown-up grandbaby! KPP offers three basic options for displaying your images in print form-standard prints, storyboard collages and wall art such as canvases and metal prints. All prints are mounted on archival mat board for stability and durability.

Mini books are great to take on the go and for preserving some of your images for years to come! Each little book comes in two sizes: 2x3 and 3x3 and are double sided and printed on a long accordion sheet of press printed paper in a luster finish. Display up to 12 or 14 of your favorite images in your mini book depending on the size you choose. Your book will snap securely with a magnet for easy portibility.
